Saturday, September 30th – Sticky Situation

Event: Sticky Situation: Zine Game Design

Date: Saturday, September 30th

Description: Dive into the world of tabletop game design with indie game designers Lee, Paddy, and Helen. 

In this hands-on workshop, participants will have the opportunity to construct their very own game zine from scratch. All materials will be provided, and this workshop is suitable for adults and all ages.

Time: 1 pm – 4 pm AEST

Sunday, October 1st – MIGW at the Table

Event: MIGW at the Table

Date: Sunday, October 1st

Description: Join us for a 12-hour streamed event celebrating everything TTRPGs have to offer. This event is perfect for both TTRPG enthusiasts and those curious about this exciting hobby. Tune in on Twitch to watch actual plays of Vampire the Masquerade and a wild D&D goblin world hack. 

Expert panels will explore how to start your own Actual Play, emerging trends in Tabletop Roleplaying Games, and how to secure funding for your TTRPG projects.

Plus, we will have a curated selection of TTRPGs to play from local game designers.

Wednesday, October 4th – ARPIA Awards Night

Event: ARPIA Awards Night

Date: Wednesday, October 4th

Description: Running for its 3rd year, the Australian Role-Playing Industry Awards celebrates the creativity and innovation that defines the world of table-top role playing games (TTRPG). The 2023 ARPIA awards night will see industry leaders vie for a range of industry awards, including the prestigious ARPIA Game of the Year.

The awards night also will include a keynote address from Tim Westhaven, COLLARTS’ Program Leader, Bachelor of Game Design, who will be speaking about emerging education pathways in TTRPG and game development trends, before a meet and greet event with industry insiders from around Australia.

Description: ARC Presents: Three Major Events @ PAX Aus

1. PAX Aus at the Table: A showcase of locally developed TTRPGs and favourites from around the world. Find us in the Tabletop area at PAX Aus and sign up for a game.

2. Aus Indie TTRPG Showcase: Discover the latest and greatest indie TTRPGs from Australia and beyond.

3. Playtest Zone with Victorian College of the Arts: Test out new and exciting TTRPG prototypes in this playtest zone.
